Fran has:
- over 55 years of speaking experience beginning with her first speech to a 4H club at age 10.
- a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi (1983) and PhD in Healthcare Administration (2003).
- taught at Jackson State University and been a guest lecturer at (7) of the Mississippi Universities and Junior Colleges on topics including women and addiction, trauma, adolescent behavior, strategic planning, and team building.
She is a sought after trainer with her specialty being Whatever Fran Baker wants to Present which is an intuitive experiential session which has enchanted audiences at multiple venues in Mississippi.
She is currently Executive Director of Bornfree of Mississippi, Inc. a program supporting pregnant and parenting addicted moms and their children.
She currently is co-owner of Treasures of Egypt Tours, LLC with her daughter Michele, and they just added a bed and breakfast near the Sphinx in Cairo, Egypt.
